Step-by-Step Instructions for Keema Matar Instant Pot
Optional: Clean the miced meat with turmeric and salt and let it sit in colander until water is drained completely.
Set the Instant Pot to sautรฉ mode and heat oil.
Add the chopped onion and sautรฉ until transulent.
Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and sautรฉ for few seconds. Using a steel turner spatula helps in scraping the bottom if ginger garlic paste gets stuck to bottom of the pan.
Add the ground meat and cook until it is browned and water is evaporated completely.
Add the turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, garam masala, green chilis (optional) and salt. Mix well.
Next add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they are completely soften. Keep stirring with spatula to avoid burn sign.
Add the green peas and water, give it a mix.
Close the Instant Pot lid, set the valve to sealing, and cook on Steam High for 1 minute.
Once done, do a natural pressure release (Took almost 20 minutes to pressure to come down naturally).
