Goat curry in an instant pot is a mouth-watering dish made with red meat/mutton that can also substitute it with lamb. This gravy requires onions, tomatoes, a bunch of greens (mint and coriander leaves). This recipe goes well with bagara rice and jowar roti.

Procedure for making goat curry in instant pot

1  Clean the meat and keep it aside. To get a nice flavor in the dish, meat should be fat-free.

2  Meanwhile, turn on the instant pot on SAUTE mode, high or more. Then add oil to the liner, chopped onion, and saute them for a few minutes until they become soft.

3  After that add chopped tomato, salt and cook until tomatoes become soft and mushy.

4  When tomatoes are mushy and soft add goat meat or mutton to the liner and cook it for 5 min or until the meat leaves the oil on the sides.

5  Next, add mint and cilantro and mix them together. Next add turmeric, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, saute for few minutes to get rid of the raw smell.

6  Finally, add red chili powder, mix well and add water, and stir it.

7  Turn off saute mode, add garam masala(1 tbsp) and close the instant pot lid. 
8 Set it on MANUAL or PRESSURE COOK for 19min and do a natural release. Serve it with bagara rice or plain rice or jowar roti.

  7. Add turmeric, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, saute for few minutes to get rid of the raw smell.
  8. Add red chili powder, mix well. Now, you will notice thick gravy, add water and stir it.
  9. Turn off saute mode, add garam masala, dry coconut powder and close the instant pot lid.
  10. Set it on MANUAL or pressure cook for 19min and do a natural release.
  11. This goat curry goes well with bagara rice and jowar roti.
