How to prepare dough for chicken momo
The dough is the foundation for excellent dumplings. The process of making dough is easy, especially with modern tools like a food processor. These homemade wrappers taste much superior to the store-bought ones.
Knead by hand: In a mixing bowl, mix all-purpose flour, salt, and water by hand and knead the dough until it holds its shape.
(or)
Kneading in a Food processor: To prepare the dough in the food processor, add flour, salt, and water to the bowl. After processing it 2 times, the dough looks rough but feels soft. Move the dough on to counter and start kneading it until it holds its shape.
2 Cover the dough in a pot with a lid or in a Ziploc bag, for at least 20 min.
3 After 20 min, give the dough final knead and let it rest for 60 min
If you don't have time for making your dumpling sheets, you can buy them at your local farmers market, Asian stores, or target. Look for dumpling wrappers in frozen sections.
