Ingredients

  • Avocado - 1 medium
  • Lime - 1 small
  • Eggs - 2
  • Black pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • Green chili - 2 add 1 for mild spice
  • Onion - 1 tbsp optional
  • Cilantro - 2 strands
  • Red chili flakes - topping

  • HOW TO MAKE AN AVOCADO EGG SANDWICH :

    For making an avocado egg sandwich the ingredients needed are hard-boiled eggs, guacamole, bread.

    HARD-BOILED EGGS FOR AVOCADO EGG SANDWICH:

    In a pan, cover the eggs with cold water, add a little salt and let them boil for 10-15 minutes. Drain the hot water and fill cold water and let them rest for 5-10 minutes. This step makes peeling easy.

    Peel the eggs and keep them aside.
  • INSTANT POT EGGS:

    1. Pour the water into the Instant Pot liner. Place a trivet in the pot. Carefully place eggs on the trivet. Add a little salt and secure the lid.
    2. For soft-cooked eggs, select manual and cook at low pressure for 3 minutes.
    3. For medium-cooked eggs, cook for 4 minutes; for hard-cooked eggs, cook for 5 minutes.
    4. When cooking time is complete, use a natural release.
    5. Remove the eggs and gently place them in a bowl of cool water for 5 minutes.

    HOW TO MAKE GUACAMOLE :

    In a bowl add avocado, lime juice, and start mashing it.

    Then add black pepper- 1/2 tsp, salt, cilantro, green chili – 1, freshly chopped onion (optional). Mix it well.
  • BREAD TOAST :

    Dave’s killer bread is our favorite choice for making any sandwiches.
    To begin with, smear a bit of butter on a bread slice. Place the bread in a toaster or on a skillet. Toast until it gets nice color on each side.

    AIR FRYER VERSION:

    Place the bread in the air fryer basket and set it on 360 F for 2 min on air fryer mode. After 1 min flip the sides and cook for another minute.
  • SERVING AVOCADO EGG SANDWICH:

    To serve, slather a slice of bread with guacamole. Place egg halves side by side on guacamole slathered slice.
  • Top it with another slice of toasted bread. Cut in half. Sprinkle some red chilis flakes for extra spice.
