Ingredients for peanut sesame coconut ladoo
Peanuts: Roasted unsalted peanuts are used. Peanuts have a good amount of iron, potassium, and magnesium with a combo of fiber, protein, and fat which helps you to feel energized.
Sesame seeds: Toasted sesame seeds add a nice nutty flavor to ladoo. Sesame seeds are high in magnesium and calcium which are good for healthy and strong bones.
Coconut powder: Coconut powder adds a sweet and mild taste to Ladoos. Coconut has many benefits for hair and skin.
Organic jaggery: Jaggery adds sweetness to ladoo, use can use either jaggery blocks or powder for this recipe. Use organic jaggery without added sulfur. I buy my jaggery from two brothers’ farm. After tasting this jaggery you will never go back to other brands.
How to make peanut sesame coconut ladoo
1. Add raw peanuts to the pan, and roast them on medium flame. Keep stirring to avoid burning.
2. Roast until you notice the golden color and nutty aroma. If peanut skin peels off easily, then that’s a sign of well-roasted peanuts. Cool them and remove the skin.
3. In the same pan, toast sesame seeds until they are fragrant and turn golden brown.
4. To a mixie jar, add cleaned roasted peanuts, sesame seeds, and coconut powder, and grind it to a coarse powder.
5. Add jaggery or jaggery powder and run the mixie in intervals and check the mixture. When you notice the mixture is releasing oil, stop grinding at this stage.
6. Transfer it to a mixing bowl and stir it with a spatula to combine.
7. Use a cookie scoop or a spoon for even size ladoos. Roll the ladoo with your hands to form a shape.
Fast and healthy snack
